Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We offer secure and private online therapy sessions for clients who prefer remote support via Simple Practice.
I’m private pay / out-of-network.
I made this choice to protect the container of our work together. Insurance often requires a diagnosis, medical-model documentation, and rigid rules that can limit privacy, pacing, and the depth of what we can explore. I’m not interested in reducing you to a label to justify care.
Private pay gives us more freedom to tailor sessions to what actually supports you. That can include longer sessions when it’s clinically appropriate, walk-and-talk therapy, and if it resonates for you, integrating reflective tools like tarot or oracle cards, or even your birth chart as a way to explore themes, patterns, and meaning. Insurance could never. 😅
Bottom line: you’re not traditional, so the work doesn’t need to be either while still being grounded, ethical, and deeply effective.
At Peace In Perspective, investing in your healing is simple and transparent.
Standard sessions are 60 minutes and cost $215.
The initial intake session is $250 and lasts about 60 minutes.

My practice is fee-for-service, meaning payment is due at the time of your session. For out-of-network (OON) clients, I do not bill insurance directly. However, I will provide you with a detailed superbill, via Thrizer, to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Many clients receive 50%-80% reimbursement for OON therapy, and some are reimbursed 100%.
To learn more about your OON benefits, contact your insurance provider directly.
Investing in your well-being is a step toward meaningful change, and I am here to support you on this journey.
Contact your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits. If you do, they can reimburse a portion of your out-of-pocket payment.
To make the OON reimbursement process easier, I work with Thrizer,(https://www.thrizer.com/) an organization that streamlines this process. Reach out to them for any OON questions.
If you don’t have OON benefits, check out The Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund.(https://thelovelandfoundation.org/therapy-fund/) They offer up to $120 reimbursement for up to 12 sessions if you are a Black-identifying woman.
Yes! I reserve three sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship after all other resources have been explored or exhausted, including out-of-network reimbursement or assistance programs such as the Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund. These spots are limited and offered based on availability.
For those who qualify, my sliding scale ranges from $155 to $215, with the goal of honoring both your financial reality and the value of this work.
The number of sessions varies depending on your needs and goals. This will be discussed and reviewed throughout the therapeutic process.
